Felafel

If you prefer to cook with less oil, lightly spray a muffin tray with oil and put the falafel balls in the trays. Cook in the oven at 180 degrees for approximately 10-15 mins or until golden
Ingredients
- 1 tin chickpeas
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp coriander
- I tsp cumin powder
- 2 tbsp flour
- Salt and Pepper
- Oil for frying
Directions
Step 1
Place onion and garlic & parsley in a food processor & process until finely chopped. Add the remaining ingredients & process until combined & the mixture is of a smooth paste-like consistency and free of lumps.
Step 2
Form small balls (around 1tbsp per ball) and then flatten.
Step 3
Heat oil in a medium fry pan and fry felafels for approx 3 to 5 minutes each side until golden.
Step 4
Serve with hummus, tomato sauce and/or salad & pita bread.
